The Relationship Director (RD) will be expected to source, assess, underwrite and take to completion property development exit loans and work with an allocated Portfolio Manager (no formal line management) to oversee the management of a portfolio of clients.
To build successful working relationships with external contacts such as brokers, customers, surveyors and solicitors as well as internal teams such as administrators, credit risk and finance to ensure all lending requirements are satisfied.
The RD must ensure that all lending undertaken is done so on a responsible and commercial basis with professional principles which place the client at the heart of its activities
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- New Business Generation in line with budgetary requirements
- Effectively manage a pipeline of cases through to completion
- Establish & maintain principle relationship with key brokers/introducers
- Customer Focus
- Responsibly serve clients needs whilst delivering a risk adjusted return
- Embrace the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and responsible lending in all decision making
- People Management/Leadership
- Adherence to the promotion of Shawbrook values and good behaviour and encouraging strong team collaboration
- Risk Management
- Ensure a good understanding of all the Banks policies, procedures and compliance guidelines, installing the principles into daily practice
- Regulatory Compliance
Specific experience in comparable bridging roles (with specific knowledge of Development Exit market), evidencing strong performance levels across all areas
