The Cyber Security Department at Sky is responsible for creating a cyber-resilient business which is capable of detecting, responding and recovering from threats to our organisation at pace.

We have a requirement for an Associate Cyber Security Tester to join our teams providing you with the opportunity to advance your career in a challenging environment and further build on the skills.

What you will do:

• Show proficiency in managing your workload independently and familiarise yourself with industry business practices and procedures while taking ownership of your development pathway alongside your line manager and colleagues.
• Work towards achieving a defined set of objectives identified between yourself and your line manager, tailoring to your goals and completing a pentesting certification.
• Conduct penetration test engagements for both applications and complex infrastructure setups, as well as retests, to gain a deep understanding of how we conduct cyber security assessments across a wide range of systems and services here at Sky.
• Independently attend meetings where infrastructure and application scopes are defined, document the respective engagement terms, conduct and support cyber security assessments. This includes appropriately documenting and sharing all findings.
• Work with various areas of the business to scope projects and advise teams on remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Gain a good understanding of how to conduct advanced infrastructure and advanced web application penetration tests.
• Gain an understanding of methodologies used for application, infrastructure and mobile application penetration testing.
• Conduct research and embrace new technologies and methodologies.

What you will have

• A passion for cyber security and a positive outlook and approach to the work we do.
• Experience of Pen testing.
• Knowledge of common infrastructure and application pen test security tools.
• Prior experience of web application testing and infrasturucutre testing

• Good time management and organisational skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Be proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate, share and support colleagues.
