Senior General Foreperson

Due to recent project wins, the position of Senior General Forman has become available to join our dedicated team based in London.

Transport for London are one of Britain’s key City Local Authorities. Responsible for the city’s infrastructure which includes Highways, Major Structures, Rail, River Transport and supporting technology. Many of their assets are reaching their end-of-life status and require substantial remedials or full refurbishment. TfL are keen to embrace modern technology to reduce carbon and energy requirements and deliver a sustainable, clean city. Costain under a number of Frameworks support TfL in their expansion and sustainability and are one of their major providers. We have recently been awarded A40 Westway, Gallows Corner, Brent Cross Structures Programme and George Green Tunnel schemes and are recruiting for staff

This role will be based on site in London/Essex

Role Requirements

• Extensive site experience delivering infrastructure projects including:

• Knowledge and experience of Highways Construction

• Knowledge and experience of highway structure repair and refurbishment.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• The ability to coordinate and control tasks.

• Knowledge and understanding of temporary works.

• Knowledge and understanding of a good range of highways structures disciplines.

• Willing to attend the team’s project office in Central London, work nights and weekends and occasional visits to Client, Designer offices.

• Full UK Driving License.

• SMSTS, Supervisory CSCS Card (Gold/Black), Fit for work medical

• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive

• Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way

• Must be customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
