Scape Leeds

Opening in September 2024, Scape Leeds will be our biggest site yet! Located in Merrion Street, this will be a fantastic place to work and change the game helping us give our residents an amazing living experience.

Our team of Receptionists, Night Porters, Housekeepers, and Maintenance Operatives will support our residents 24/7 delivering excellent customer service, keeping our spaces safe, clean and well maintained ensuring our residents can enjoy their time with us.

We are building a brand-new team and have full and part-time positions available. There will be a full induction/training plan prior to our opening date where our new starters will learn about Scape, our new building, role specifics and potentially visit our London Sites to work alongside and learn from experienced team members.

Onboarding Requirements: All roles will require a satisfactory DBS check, 3 years of references and RTW in the UK.

Start Date: Monday 19 August 2024

Maintenance Operative

Hours: Shifts across Monday Sunday, plus an on-call rota.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work, training will be provided, basic knowledge of general property maintenance preferred. (basic painting skills required)
• Carry out fault finding and leak investigations.
• Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations.
• Comply with Health and Safety processes and responsibilities.
• Complete work reports on an iPad
• Work as part of the maintenance team and under your own initiative.
• Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levels.
• Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy, and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager and outside contractors.
• Sign in and assist specialist sub-contractors when required.
• Replace light switches, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
• Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy, and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager
• Control and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit site.
• Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• To undertake any other duties as and when required that are commensurate with the role.
