Job description

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely.

WPB Tech has experienced significant growth and change within recent years which drove the need for us to undertake a strategic review of our current Target Operating Model and Organisational Leadership Structure. The creation of the defined Value Streams (VS) and Sub-Value Streams (SVS) will drive joint delivery of business outcomes through deep partnership between Business, Markets, Technology and Digital.

The Head of Accounts Technology owns the Technology Delivery within a Value Stream as part of three-in-a-box leadership VS structure, managing Tech delivery and risk and Tech input to business design and prioritisation decisions.

The roleholder will perform administrative duties and provide support to GPB&W and Asset Management Technology senior leaders. They will exercise confidentiality, flexibility and be a proactive problem solver, with good communication and organisational skills and a keen attention to detail, and will also support internal training, communications and employee engagement activities.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Organising schedules, maintaining diaries, arranging travel and accommodation
  • Co-ordinating and supporting logistics for activities, events, resources, meetings, services and managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting administration, composing presentations, drafting reports and assisting with key documents (e.g. meeting minutes/actions, expense reports)
  • Supporting People, Culture and Communications initiatives
  • Managing external relationships and service providers
  • Adhere to HSBC policies and maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, as well as exercise discretion when interfacing with stakeholders
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a senior PA/EA role are essential
  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential
  • Need to have excellent organisational, communicational skills and have a methodical approach to tasks
  • Will need to demonstrate attention to detail along with able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively
  • Demonstrates initiative and anticipates requirements
  • Self motivated with the ability to work under own initiative and with minimum supervision
  • Excellent customer care skills and telephone manner, be well presented, confident and reliable

This role is based in London and offers hybrid working
