Fast forward 22 years and over £5.5 billion has been raised for good causes in almost every single country in the world. Were looking for a Public Relations Specialist to join our growing UK Team. In this role you will help to shine light on powerful real-life fundraising and crowdfunding stories across national and regional media outlets.
What youll be doing
  • Support the wider team in the running of our busy press office, delivering positive media coverage for campaigns, product features, partnerships, company news as well as managing inbound press enquiries.
  • Work with the team to deliver an ‘always on’ feed of positive media coverage which captures the stories of our inspirational fundraisers and crowdfunders
  • Partner closely with our social team to ensure content is aligned and maximised across external channels.
  • Evaluate our PR activity and report back our success to the wider business
  • Support the Head of PR in moments of crisis
What we need from you
  • You’ll have an eye for a story, able to spot the campaigns which will garner media interest and manage these opportunities through end to end.
  • You’ll have experience of working in a busy in-house press office or agency, able to juggle multiple media requests often to tight deadlines
  • You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build strong, meaningful and lasting relationships with the media, consumers, stakeholders and internal leaders
  • A love for data - able to identify trends and act on these in partnership with our data team ensuring JustGiving is front and centre across the media when it comes to reporting on emerging trends in giving.
  • Cool under pressure and always maintaining the values of Blackbaud
